When I open a project file in Adobe Premiere, I get this message: 'The project appears to be damaged, it cannot be opened.' What can I do to fix it?

I also tried to open the auto-save files, but they don't work either.

Can you help me?

What does this mean? What security tab? I haven't received a message to "Open anyway".

Could you provide a bit more information:

1. What version of Premiere Pro are you using?
2. What version of Premiere Pro was the project created with?
3. Where is the project stored (local drive, external drive, network drive)?
4. Is the project being synced with cloud storage?
5. What is the file size of the project?

Once I have more details, I can offer more specific advice.

Cheers,
Paul

  1. I am currently using Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 (v24.5).
  2. The project was also created in Premiere Pro 2024, but I can't remember the exact version. The last open date was on 12 of May-2024.
  3. The project is stored on an external drive.
  4. No, it is not synced with cloud storage.
  5. The file size of the project is 878 KB.

Thank you for your help.

Are you able to upload the project file here? I can see if it opens on my end.
