Question

Project Manager estimates: 8GB - in reality: 72GB??

72GB is what it estimated for "Collecting files and copy to new location"

That's too big to upload so I chose Consolidate and transcode, with 8GB estimated project size, but it's literally 72GB (coincidentally?) so what's up here?

Haven't used it myself yet but seen this being recommended eslewhere.

It's the project manager Premiere should have. Their own implementation is way too simplistic to be of any use. The fact that the files are dumped flat into one single folder is already problem 1 that the extention solves amongst many others including estimating size.

Hi @lflegg,

Thanks for the notes and screenshot. You want the project manager to move and consolidate the media to ProRes LT, right? If the original media is H.264/HEVC-based, you cannot consolidate the footage. It takes the entire file. Could that be the issue? I hope the info helps. Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin
