I use Project Manager to "Collect" files in one place. What does it mean--what happens--when, instead, i "Consolidate and Transcode"  What exactly happens: what is the end result?

Thank you

    Hi Kdoc,

What does it mean--what happens--when, instead, i "Consolidate and Transcode"

If you have media files of multiple formats/codecs, you can transcode all relevant files in projects and sequences into an intermediate codec. For more details, check this: Trim or copy your Adobe Premiere Pro project.

Let men know if that answers your query.

    Thanks,

Thanks Kulpreet, It doesn't look like I need Consolidate and Transcode, and it would take me another block of time to figure out all its codecs and other nuances. I'll stay with "Collect."

    I appreciate your help
