Question

Project Won't Load Properly

Hi All,

I am new to using Premiere Pro (formerly a Sony Vegas user) and am still getting used to things.

I have saved projects in which I have been working but when I come back to open them they just show as empty. The timeline shows I have not done anything. I am under pressure to complete a task and need to do fix this ASAP.

Any help would be fantastic,

Thanks!

Hi jmcookie,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Is this happening with multiple projects?

Have you tried the step recommended by Jim Simon?

The project you are working, is it created in older version & converted into the latest version of Premiere Pro?

Create a new project, import the old project file into new project & test.

Thanks,

Vidya.

I have tried to open the sequence as recommended by Jim Simon and it is not working. It brings up all relevant pop up boxes but after clicking through all options and confirming, nothing happens.

The project is a new one created in the newest version of Premiere Pro.

I have been able to open my last auto save file from Friday which has loaded a recent version of the work. I am working on my company PC on which I have saved and stored files on shared drives. Will moving things to a local drive make any difference?

Thanks for all your answers. Any further suggestions?

You really should always work from locally stored media and project files.

I would make sure you're opening the right project.. I've experienced a glitch where Premiere will put my project into a different folder, maybe another area I had been working.  Maybe try opening one of your most recent Auto Saves and SAVE AS.. to make sure it is exactly where it needs to be.

You may need to just open the sequence.  Double-click on it from the bin.
