I updated Adobe Premiere Pro today and now all the projects I was working on in the last two weeks have disappeared. I can't find them through PP or through a search of my files. Please send any thoughts. This represents HOURS and HOURS of work!!!

Installing new software or a new update cannot delete the old project files or your media files.

Check in the auto-save folder or search your computer for .prproj files.

I figured they weren't gone entirely, but they were not visible through Premiere Pro 2020 nor through my file manager.

During the search, I found Premiere Pro 2019 and when I opened it, the files were available. It seems odd that Premiere Pro 2020 would recognize projects from more than 4 weeks ago, but not those more recent. For now, I will work in Premiere 2019.

Your reply shows that the files in question are 'hidden' by your OS, but Premiere 2019 is given permission by the OS to access them. If they weren't hidden, they would show in Finder.

So ... you need to change the settings in your operating system (OS) for those files, which shouldn't be hidden to begin with.
