Question

proxies in different mac machines

I made proxies on an Imac Pro desktop, and they work fine while editing. I save them in the same folder where all the files are, inside an SSD that I use to edit my project. When I move to a different Mac machine, either another iMac or my Macbook, connect my SSD, and open the project, the proxies are offline and detached. So I tried to attach the clips again to the respective proxy that are still in the same folder that Premiere originally created and I did not move. That is when the problems start, any other machine apart from the one when I created them, does not recognize the proxy files and gives me an error saying that that kind of file (.mov) is not supported.

Why do the proxies disconnect as soon as I change the machine, and why I cannot reconnect them?

HI @andreac1450472,

Thanks for the question. Can you check your Mac System Settings and make sure that the drive is available for Full Disk Access under Privacy & Security? That might do it.

Thanks,
Kevin
