Question

Proxies needed to be reattached after creating them.. PR V-24.5.0 build 57

This is just an FYI heads up. After updating cloud apps today - including Premiere, I started on my next client edit. My standard project start flow - set up project folders, create Premiere project, import footage, sync for multicam, creat proxies. Afer proxies finished, I then started editing. toggled proxies on, but something didnt seem right. I run proxies at a very low bitrate, and you can tell by all the artifacts in the clips, when I toggled proxies on it didnt apear that the proxies were being toggle on, clips still looked full res and timelline was sluggish specially with multicam window. I went to re-attached proxies, re-attached each one by one, and now they are toggling on and off correctly.

In all my years in Premiere, using proxies for years to edit, I'd never yet seen this. Figured I'd post about it in case it's helpful to others who might run into this. Or the Adopbe team to investigate.

Thanks for posting. I didn't create proxies just now, but I imported the main files I have from a project, and then attached the proxies. I selected all the files I dropped in, then right-clicked and Attached proxies. I selected one in the locate files and selected a proxy file in a folder of proxies and it attached all of them. I had a few files in the list that didn't have proxies so I select 'Skip All' and they were all attached, IE: I didn't have to do one at a time. 🙂

Awesome! I chose to do one at a time just cause I wasn't sure why the proxies I just created didn't look to be attached, basically I was just being thorough by one at a time.
