Proxies taking out space in two different hard drives

Im working on a heavy multicam project where im in the need of proxies.

I told premiere at the begining of the project to create proxies in a external hard drive, the same goes to the scratch disks, prproj... (and no copy option selected)

The problem is that this process (through media encoder) is taking also space from my main hard drive and i don´t know why, or what kind of extra files is premiere generating...

So everything is set to be saved in an external hard drive, not in the main. Also the footage is in that external hd.

Thanks in advance!
Gonzalo.

Working on a win10 pro, Premiere CC 2017, two Xeon, 64gb Ram and Nvidia 1080.

I think i found out the problem. There are a lot of media cache files generated in: C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common
that take a lot of space from the hard drive. After cleaning some of those folders i recovered more than 100GB!

The first thing that comes to mind is Step 3h and 4a.

Some posts here have noted that if the folder for cache files is set to the root of a drive, PrPro apparently ignores it and puts them in the default location. If your cache folders are only the one level deep, try putting them in say something like the second folder of this: "Adobe Cache/Cache" which would be the "Cache" folder.
