Punctuation issue Arabic Subtitles Premiere Pro

Hello, for which requires subtitling in muliple languages (including Russian and Chinese), I am having issues with the Arabic subtitles when it comes to punctuation.

When the subtitle is over two lines, it is impossible to get the full stops or commas at the end of the second line. They always appear on the top line, despite everything being correct in Text panel (see screenshot).

Unfortunately, making sure everything goes on one line only is not a solution, as I need to export also in square and vertical formats.

The format is "Subtitle", and it is already using the South Asian and Middle Easter Text engine.

Any help will be greatly appreciate as it is becoming difficult to work with this.

Just tested it (I confess I cannot read arabic but Google Translate to the rescue!).

If you change to right-to-left typing via the button shown in the Essential Graphics Panel, the full stop moves to the right place.

Oh, that seems to have done the trick!

A big thank you!

There is an additional hidden option to change the Text Engine for each caption track. Right click on the caption track and choose 'Track Settings'. In there you can change the engine to 'South Asian and Middle Eastern' again.

Does this fix it?

It's admittedly not very intuitive to have an additional setting hidden away in the tracks.

Hi Mike, thank you for your reply!

Yes, the Text Engine in Track Settings is already set to South Asian and Middle Easter.

The arabic text is written correctly, from right to left. Only the punctuation is problematic...
