Purchase Standalone???

Instead of a monthly fee is there a way to purchase the old Standalone version to work with that? I am still in college and it would be easier to purchase once than having to find the money each time the bill is due. Especially since I am just starting to use it and I dont know in the long run how much it would be worth it to keep paying $20 or $50 a month for many years. I'd rather pay the old, what , $200-300 for a standalone and get updates rarely, than have it update each time I use it.

    In simple terms, no. Adobe no longer sells products, they rent them under the Cloud subscription model.

    The only option open to you for Premiere Pro is to join the Cloud and pay the monthly fee.

    An alternative is to buy Premiere Elements. That's simplified consumer level software available for a one off cost.Take a look at its feature set. It may be all you need for now.
