Question on CS6 performance vs CC

hello. I am running premiere Pro CS6 on my 2014 rMBP. 16gb ram 500gb HD and scratch disk is an SSD. I find I pretty much have to render everything upon import or else my editing experience is slow and jerky.

Does CC run smoother and faster? I ask because I recently tried the month trial of FCPX and found it to be so much faster its not even in the same league.

    CC version 13 actually requires more processing power and RAM than CS6
