Quick Question re: Audio pitch shift

I need to transcode 2398 animation to 25fps and am wondering if I have to manually adjust the audio pitch or if it is done automatically.

To test, I listened to the music tracks for the 2398 master file, the 2398 after it was dropped in and converted to sequence settings set for 25fps, and the transcoded file after exporting as 25fps.

They sound exactly the same. I have relative pitch so I'm very good at detecting slight differences in sound and I used a digital piano to test any divergences from single notes and I heard nothing. It's as if Premiere automatically adjusted audio pitch when I dropped the 2398 into the 25fps sequence.

Is this right? And is this good enough for, say, a broadcaster -- or do I need to run the audio through Audition still?

One note, the full stereo mix seems to be out of sync with itself by maybe a few milliseconds but after transcode the resulting video file is back in sync again. Glitch, or...?

and generally, I've found that audition does a much better job with speed/pitch changes.  I recently worked on a video where the speaker lacked energy.  I sped her up about 105% but kept the pitch the same to give her more energy.  When I did it in Premiere, the quality was mediocre.  When I sent the audio the Audtion, the resuts were perfect.

clip speed maintain audio pitch may not be exactly what you're looking for as its not tied into framerate

conversion.  You could always try a separate sequence just for audio and add the rendered clip into a new sequence. I seriously don't think this is high enough quality and may also create drifting problems.

I don't think premiere's essential sound panel or effects have any pitch correction. you'll have to use audition or something similar to maintain pitch while stretching. Interpret footage is the only way to change framerate without looking stuttery unless you want to try the adaptive interpolation feature.(it may create visual artifacts)

When doing frame rate conversions, the duration of the audio does not change, so pitch changes are not a concern.

Wait... so, for sake of argument if I want to transcode a 2398 video to 2997, or even a 2997 to 2398, I don't need to mess with audio at all? It won't get out of sync or change pitch?

Why would it? I see no reason why there would be any adjustments made to the audio during this conversion
