Random cuts when I edit MC clips in Sequence

As of recently when i have a multicam clip in a sequence and i change the camera using my 1-2-3 keys i get a random cut somewhere on the timeline. I have to go back and clean it up. This a very fast and productive way for me to edit and now i am being slowed down as i need to stop, generate the cut and with right click i need to change the camera. This issue is happening on 3 computers and we are working on Adobe Productions worklow using Adobe Premiere CC 22.2.. We are in no position to upgrade just yet!

How can I fix this?
