Random video and audio errors in timeline and export

Ever since Premiere Pro 24, I've been experiencing increasing instances of randomly occuring video errors appearing while working in the timeline, (green blocks, areas of distortion, black flashes) and audio pops and loud feedback. Clearing the media cache doesn't remove the problem and weirdly the errors move, sometimes being in one section of the timeline and then disapperearing and reappearing at other areas. Recently, while working on a longer video project, the audio errors persistently appeared in every exported clip. Has anyone else run into this and have any advice? I've contacted Adobe techs several times, but haven't found a consistent solution. 

 

Exported clips have been both h264 and 422 QT, both from Media Encoder. 

I'm running the newest update of Premiere 2025, working on an Intel iMac running OS Sonoma 14.7.1

Update Drivers and Plugins: Ensure your graphics card drivers and any third-party plugins are up to date, as they can often cause timeline glitches.

Check Hardware Acceleration: Try toggling hardware acceleration settings in Premiere’s preferences (either enable or disable it) to see if that reduces the distortion or audio feedback.

Render Timeline: Use the "Render In to Out" function to pre-render your timeline. This can help identify if the errors are related to real-time playback.

Use Software Encoding: When exporting, switch to software encoding instead of hardware encoding to see if the issue persists.

Create a New Project: Import your current project into a fresh Premiere Pro project to eliminate potential corruption in the project file.

Test with Different Media Cache Locations: Completely clear and relocate your media cache files to ensure no corrupted files are causing these errors.
