Re-render at restart

Is there a way to NOT have to render effects and sequences upon restart, please? I have a monster M3, so the machine should have nothing to do with it. All files are on an external 4TB drive with plenty of space. And I cleared the media cache prior to render. Thank you.

So you render the timeline and get a green render bar abowe the footage and next time you open Premiere Pro the render bar is either red or yellow?

Do you even have to render the timeline to get a green render bar with a monster M3?

That is correct. It is a 2hour plus project, so, yes, rendering helps both playback and export. The best I can figure is that it's an ongoing, apparently unresolvable Black Magic plug in issue. But I just can't find a relevant thread 😞

Personally i think this is a erratic feature, meaning that it often does just this iow loosing render files. It has been like this forever. It seems to be worse if one place the video/audio previews on an external drive. If you have them on an external drive, try to put them on the internal drive by going to Premiere Pro > Project Settings > Scratch Disks and change the path for Video Previews and Audio Previevs. Create a dedicated folder for this.
