Hi,

*I'm not 100% sure of the name, but I will refer to it as  the "project" panel, because it usually has the word, "project" before the file name of your project file.

The issue is when I create a new bin, or delete a few files, the whole panel shrinks to be just big enough to show the files that there. Which can be annoying, especially when I want to drag files into that folder.

Anyway I can prevent this panel from changing sizes on it's own? (see attached)

This happens because you're working with "stacked" panels. Some workspaces, like the Audio workspace, use stacked panels to save space, which can cause the Project panel to shrink when it has less items.

If you'd prefer the Project panel to stay at a consistent size, you have a couple of options:

  • Choose a Workspace that doesn't include the Project panel in a stacked panel group.
  • Alternatively, click the context menu for the panel and choose Undock Panel, then add it to another panel group that isn't stacked.
