Reasons for importing a project or projects into an existing project.

What would be the reason(s) for importing a single project or multiple projects into an existing project? Is this a best practice for any situation(s)? Do you gain anything by doing this such as quicker exports, less use of resources, etc.? Thanks in advance for the help.

It allows you to reuse sequences and edits.

It is also standard procedure to delete the media cache, create a new project, and import an old project if it was created in an earlier version of Premiere Pro.
