Question

Red and White Checkerboard on transitions.

A few weeks ago I had a bunch of transitions all over my edit. Now it seems a ton of them have become these white and red checkerboards. Deleteing and reapplying the transtion doesnt work and neither does trying to render etc.

any ideas?

what is the transition that you're applying?  any chance it's a third party transition?   and of course please tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card and your source properties and sequence settings.  Wondering if any of the clips have an alpha channel (transparency)?

HI!

It is not a 3rd party transition. The clips not working are:

cube spin
iris round
iris diamond
iris cross
split

Some of the other transitions such as cross dissolves and light effects
work.

Before i update Premiere these all worked fine. Now they do not. Ive tried
to remove them and reapply. Ive tried rendering. Nothing works.

My current specs are.

Macbook Pro
(15-inch, 2016)
Processor

2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

Memory

16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Startup Disk

Macintosh HD

Graphics

Radeon Pro 460 4 GB

Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB

Im using a Sandisk SSD external drive via USB-C

Premiere Pro is the latest update you guys have put out.

Footage is in 4K from an Atomos Shogun Inferno in ProRes 422 HQ Keep in
mind all this worked just fine. Playing and editing smoothly before the PP
update was applied.

Best,

revert to the previous version of premiere which should still be available via creative cloud.    and have you checked that your graphics card meets the requirements of the latest version

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html

and there's a setting in the latest version to run a hardware test to make sure your system is up to spec.
