Question

Red Graphical Glitch when in Premiere

Hello all, I've been trying for a really long time to try and fix the red glitch effect as seen in the screenshot. Originally I was editing with Premiere 2023 but once I updated, I noticed these glitches appeared. I've tried messing with project settings and preferences but nothing provides any solution. When I play this in VLC media player there is no issue. If you have any ideas or solutions please share!!

Hi @Joel35055638a8us,

Thanks for writing in with your issue. Can you give us more info about your computer system? Do you have an NVIDIA GPU? Have you updated your GPU driver lately? If so, we suggest you reinstall the previous driver. Install the Studio driver, version 551.23. You can find this via:

1. Nvidia.com

2. Select Drivers from the top menu bar.

3. Click the Beta and Older Drivers link.

4. From the "Recommended / Beta" popup menu, choose Studio Driver

5. Choose your Nvidia product, operating system, and language.

After clicking Search, download and install version 551.23.

I hope the advice helps. Let us know if that works. If you do not have an NVIDIA GPU or are using macOS, please repost with more details.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @Kevin-Monahan,

Thanks so much for the quick response! I unfortunately do not have a Nvidia GPU, instead I have a Radeon RX 580 Series GPU. Would it be a similar issue and process with AMD? I'll look into it myself but if you have any insights please let me know!

Thanks again,

Joel

Go here to update the driver:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580

Then delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:
