Remove the forgeround of a video clip

Dear friends,

I have footage of a tennis match. I had to film it from behind a fence. It was not allowed to be on the court itself.

The fence itself is 3 meters high and has square openings of about 7 x 7 cm and obstructs a good sight of the court and the ongoing game.

Can anybody tell me how I can rcompletely can remove this fence from my film? On the internet I only found found tools and-or software to remove the background which I do not need at all.

Many thanks in advance.

Correct answer Ann Bens

Might pull this off with a photo, but video is merely impossible.

Next time around, shoot with a long lens through the fence. The lines will magically disappear.

That is not always the case

There may not be an acceptable solution to your problem.

The only possible solutions I can think of is a combination of rotoscoping and object removal in After Effects or editing each frame of video individually in Photoshop.

This means that in the video software world, work still has to be done, to develop software and/ or tools to remove a foreground, apparently nobody ever considered this matter, your solution is way to complicated.

Dont think there ever be a tool to remove stuff like fences which are blocking the view.

Maybe in the future with Ai.

Video starts with the camera. If you cannot film what you like to film, you have to accept the limitation.

We fix this in post does not always apply.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Indeed, I toke me quite some time to find the right place on your website, why do you make it so complicated?

When you post a question you always need to tell the Adobe program you are using
There are MANY programs in a full subscription, plus other non-subscription programs
Please post the exact name of the Adobe program you use so a Moderator may move this message to that forum

Dear John,

Before sending my post I went to the appropriate icon of the software on your websiye. I both work with Première Elements and Première Pro. In neither of these programs a tool can be found to remove the foreground of a video clip.

I hope to find help via you or the community.

@toon1540

i moved your post to the only forum in which you previously posted, premiere pro.  would you prefer it remain in cc services (where you'll get no help) or would you like me to me to it premiere elements?

p.s. asking how to do something doesn't guarantee there is a way to easily do it.
