"Render Effects In to Out" no longer available when using CUDA?
Before Premiere Pro 25.1 I believe I have been able to render effects in to out to speed up my timeline (by pre-rendering heavy fx sections), but my new project in 25.1 does not let me do this unless i use software playback. Worsening the issue, some sections of effects have errors and bugs in software rendering but not CUDA, and vice versa (errors in CUDA rendering but not software). This currently requires me to alternate back and forth between playback methods, pre-rendering effects with software for the CUDA errors and chugging with CUDA through the software errors. I attempted to use an older version of Premiere Pro, but was informed when launching the project in Premiere Pro 24.6.4 that because the project was created on a newer version, it is not compatible with an older version leaving me no way to test my problems on an older version.
Version: Premiere Pro 25.1
Plugins: Red Giant Universe
Issue: Effects bugs when whether using software or CUDA playback; can't pre-render effects in CUDA
Hardware: Ryzen 9 5950X, 64gb RAM, RTX 3090, all Software/Media/FX are stored on Samsung/Crucial SSDs
To be clear, I understand the root of this issue is likely Red Giant; very heavy effects are being stacked so I'm not shocked that I'm facing performance issues, but before now I had been able to work around this. Having to alternate playback methods every other clip is taking ages and is not a cure-all for the bugs I'm experiencing.
