Render In to Out Playback

When I render "in to out" or render effects "in to out" Premiere used to render and automatically play the rendered section. I find that in CC 2018 after rendering it's starts playing back at the beginning of the entire sequence.

In Preferences, under Timeline, the "Play work area after rendering previews" box is checked.

Is there another switch or preference for this that I am missing?

      Have you actually set In and Out points for the sequence?

      Yes, I set in and out points for only 1 clip at the end of a 10 minute sequence, then when it renders it takes me back to the beginning of the 10 minute sequence and starts playback there.

        You're saying that's new?  (I don't render much, but that's how I recall it working on the few occasions I did.)
