Rendering Now taking hours after new premier pro update

Hey,

So I've just updated to the latest premier pro, now my renders instead of making 10 minutes max, are now taking 1 - 2 hours, assuming it works at all.

Nothing has changed, I ported over a project I was working on 2021, to the latest.

Also updated the media encoder, any advice? I can provide render settings if needed.

I'd suggest you revert to the previous Premiere version that was working. One of the great features of the creative cloud is that you can keep multiple versions on your system and you can download the previous version from CC if you deleted it.

This might help: Instead of just opening the project created in the previous version, create a new project and IMPORT the previous project.

Also, when you say render, are you rendering the timeline or exporting? People use the terms interchangeably and there not the same thing (this is partly fostreed by Adobe which uses the term "render" instead of "export" in AE...

And might help us figure out what's going on if you tell us your source properties and sequence settings and if the problem is rendering, tell us your preview format in sequence settings...

I'm having the same problem. Updated my MacBook Pro to the new operating system (Montery 12.1) to see if that would help, nope. Cleared my cache's, nope. Super frustrating.
