Question

Rendering taking really too long for the specs of my computer

Hi,

I know there are a lot of discussions about that, but I tried everything and nothing seems to help... I have rendering issues. Rendering a sequence can take an hour or two.

Content of the sequence:

- screen recording of power points.

- a person who talks (different video file than the screen recording)

- Three transitions coming from a plugin

- 2 audio files (person speaking)

- 10 minutes length

Premiere Pro version: 23.5

At first, it was due to the transitions coming from the plugin, but it was working fine until last week, and I have been using that extension for a year and never had that problem.

My computer specs:

Ram: 32 go (29 allowed to Adobe Programs)

13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700KF 3.40 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti

The storage is kept under 50% used

I have the same issue with short projects, such as YouTube shorts.

Thank you for your help and time. It is really appreciated

The problem is your CPU. See the "F" at the end of the name?

That means it has no iGPU, which is what the Intel CPUs use for basically all their long-GOP processes, both H.264 and 265/HEVC.

So your CPU has no "hardware" geek stuff for the complex long-GOP decode/encode processes. And is vastly slower at them than a non-F CPU is.
