Reopened Project has diagonal lines and it moved edited clip, I don't know how to fix

Hi, so I exported a rough cut of something yesterday. Got revisions from my boss today, reopened the project and it looks like this. It moved the whole project over to the left off the timeline, chopping off the edited front end and leaving diagonal lines at the end. WTH happened and how do I fix it?
