Repaired corrupted MOV file can't be imported

I was using Canon 5D Mark iii for video and one of the clips was corrupted.

Searched online for a fix and bought "Stellar Phoenix Video Repair".
The video can now be played by VLC but I am unable to import into Premiere nor upload onto YouTube.
Please help!

    Correct answer Mike Dziennik

If you cannot upload to YT or import into Pr. then something is wrong with the file.

VLC will play nearly anything. But then again VLC is not a NLE.

Try changing the mov extention to mp4.

If desperate, convert using handbrake - it will read pretty much the same stuff as VLC and then you should be able to import.

You may suffer a quality decrease depending on your settings.

The software did what it suppose to do: make it watchable, but that is not the same as make it editable.
