Question

Repeating the beginning of inserted clips

So I airdropped some videos from my phone to my laptop and imported them into Premiere. They playback fine on my phone and in quick time but I started editing them in Premiere and the clips are starting to glitch where the beginning keeps repeating over the rest of the clip. Even when I split the clip and try to play over say the middle of it the beginning still keeps playing. Trimming it doesn't help. Even when I restart the program the same clips keep glitching. I just updated it a couple of days ago and have never had this issue before.

I too have the same issue. Just wondered if anyone found a fix. Thanks, Julie

Maybe try re-setting preferences. On Windows try holding down shift/ctl/alt while app is starting. Mac hold down shift/cmd/option while app is starting.

Also try cleaning dim cache by going to edit/preferences/media and disk cache or on Mac Premiere Pro/preferences/media and disk cache. Then perform the 2 options in that panel.

I tried both of those and it didn't change anything. I also tried starting two different projects omitting the clip that original started the glitching and around the 2 minute mark any clip I added started to glitch the same way.

AlisandraV,

Try changing your Audio Hardware preferences to the proper audio devices. That may help.

Thanks,
Kevin
