Replace crash issue

Hi folks,

I work with premiere since 2004 but in the lasts 2 years I'm with a huge headache replacing footage
I have a project for outputting my work to more than 10 broadcasters. Each one asks for different specs.

Each week there is a new episode. Instead of doing a tedious work setting every different spec I made a project using the same original. A slate, a video footage and an audio footage.

But when I try to replace the footage, Premiere crashes. Than I start premiere again and it allow me to replace one item. I have to save the project. Try to replace the second footage, it crashes. I restart it, replace the second footage. save, try to replace the third, crash. Reopen, replace. Done.

So, it only allow me to replace once. This is really frustrating.

This is happening since CC 2016, and is still happening in 2018 last update.

    Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

    Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

    1. Do one of the following:
      • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
      • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

    from here:
