Replace multple "simple web caption" graphics with "classic web caption" graphics

Hi,

 

Total newbie, working on a project with 2 language subtitles on screen but I used the wrong essential graphic template. I have around 300 graphics I need to change from being "Simple" to "Classic" web caption from the Essential Graphic templates.

 

Simple has an animation that I don't want (inconsistent to the other style) 

 

Is there an easy way to replace the graphics without rewriting all the text? It took SO LONG!

    I just tried several ways to drag the new EG template over the old one to swap it out, but I'm afraid nothing seems to work.

    If you can abide keeping the font and styling the same as the Simple template and just eliminate the motion, you can click on each graphic, go into Effects Controls, twirl open the text layer at the top and click the stopwatch on "Position" to eliminate the keyframes. It's still a bit of manual labor but at least you're not retyping everything.
