Replace with After Effects Composition - Generic Error - cannot find files

Hey you all,

I had to install the most recent updated and premiere and after effects are running on the latest update. 
Last month i had no issue using the "Replace with after effects" option, but now my after effects opens and then i get the Generic Error, that the Files cannot be found "filepath (3::1)" 
Restarting the Mac, clearing all Cache in Premiere and AE didnt work. Reinstalling also didnt do anything.

Looking forward to see if some of you have similar problems with the Replace in AE Option or if you have an idea of solving this.

    using the same external SSD and plugging it in on my WIN PC it works no problems. But i need to have it running on mac too.
