Restoring original clip name

If you rename a clip in the PrPro project panel... is there a quick way to return it to the original (true) file name?

At the moment I'm calling up the properties for the clip (Ctrl SHift H) and copying and pasting the original file name back from there.

Anything quicker / easier?

Thanks

There is a plug in for this. It's called Batch Rename by Editingtools.io. I am in no way affiliated with them. I just found it while researching this problem. I was running into a common issue with Canon MXF files where adobe will name every file "Clip 001" unless you change the media folder name on your hard drive. Anyway it was worth my 15 bucks cause it would have been hours of relinking/renaming

Thanks Ann - yes I'll fill in a wish.

I would have thought an obvious way to do this would be to delete any text in the name field - ie edit it to a 'blank' - at which point the clip name should return to the true file name.

If anyone else wants this - please add a wish...
