Question

Run Premier with Admin Permissions without Password

So at my company the IT department needs to lock down all company computers due to a compliance issue, so it's not possible in any way to move forward with my computer being unlocked with admin permissions. Is there any way IT can set up my new windows-based computer in such a way that premier will function correctly without them needing to "run as administrator" with a password each time I start Premier?

    I have the same question.

Inside my company it is not possible to get admin rights.

I had a lot of arguing to get this super expensive license and now I have to explain to my boss why I can´t do my work!?!?!?

Why is it such a huge problem to build in an option, to chance the directory if needed?!

    Best regards

If they want you to do the work, they'll have to change their policy.  You can take the machine off the network if necessary.  Adobe has a program to limit the CC License check.

    Hi Jim,

thanks for your fast answer. I think this will not happen. We are a huge aviation company with several thousand employers. So they will definitely not change anything if 2 or 3 user have problems with one single program . . .

I have tried to use it after I booted the machine off the network - made no difference.

License check?? As far as I can see, there is no license problem. There is only a problem with the designated user folder . . .

    Have a great one

I appreciate you taking the time to reply, but that answer was not at all helpful.

After pouring over these forums I've found countless adobe representatives claiming that admin rights are 100% required to run this application correctly, or who are otherwise telling everyone with problems to run their software in this manner. This is incorrect.

One of our IT guys discovered that installing the application outside of the default programs directory solved most (if not all) of the problems encountered on a computer that is otherwise locked for the sake of company policy, and/or compliance issues.

    Hi TrevorACI,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you wish to run Adobe applications locally on your computer without the admin password. This is possible, however, you'll need to get in touch with your IT team so that the compatibility for the application can be adjusted to work without admin privileges.

Let us know if you have any other query.

    Thanks,

    Shivangi
