I just got adobe premier. I've had it previously and never had this problem. Everytime I click to start a new project..it tells me that it has a run script error then under it says expected. I'm confused.

does your project or any footage in it have apostrophes or other special characters in its filenames?... if so, remove them and try again.

i have the same issue. i'm on windows 10 professional asus motherboard. computer is newly built, fresh install as of today. nvidia rtx 2080ti graphics card. adobe premiere pro freshly installed. the error happens when i click to open PP. a popup appears in the center of the screen titled "Run Script Error" followed by red alert icon with an exclamation point and next to that it reads "Expected: )" along with OK button under that. If i click OK 4-5 times, Adobe Premiere moves on and lets me open the project.
