Safe to clear cache after moving drives?

My C drive is almost full so I moved the cache location to D drive. When would it be safe to delete the cache files located in C drive? I don't want to risk deleting vital files for this project.

It's always okay to delete caches -- they are not vital and Premiere will rebuild them automatically as needed.

 

FYI I always move my cache location to an external drive (SSD); it's been shown that a system will perform better if the caches are not stored at the default location (the boot drive).
