Saving Different Preferences in Premiere Pro

This may be something super simple, but I cannot wrap my head about it.  I recently started editing using Suite Studios, and for that, I had to change a bunch of preferences in Premiere Pro.  But I still have some current projects that I prefer and need the old fashioned-way, using my external SSD HD.  Is there an easy way to save two different type of preferences in Premiere? I'd rather not go back and forth, doing and undoing the Preferences.

This might help you as Prefs and other customisations are stored in the Premiere Profile folder.

Don't make any manual changes at all to data in the Folder directly.

Before you try any of this make sure you save a good known copy of he Profile Folder which contains all Preferences and Customisations.

Save it under a specific folder you create youself as back up - so you can go back to that known good Profile Folder to restore settings if something gets messed up.

Premiere Pro can be a bit fussy if Preferences get corrupted

Its not exactly an elegant solution as you have to manage folders manually, copy and paste. So take care.

Premiere must not be running

There does not appear to be a function to allow easy management of multiple sets of Preferences.

Settings used to be Sync'd to Creative Cloud but that appears to be withdrawn now.

You could submit it as an Idea under the 'Ideas' Tab on the Community

Hope it helps

Thank you both!  In the long run, the set of preferences to run with Suite is not that horribly leghty.   I will just use Premieres Preferences to manually check and uncheck what I need when I go betweeen editing with Suite and editing with external SSDs.  I was just curious if I missed something and if Premeire allowed for a two set of preferences...

I looked through that, and I can't see anything that would be out of what I would normally set in Premiere anyway ... what did you want to do differently?

And things like Transmit Out ... that's just a toggle on/off thing, you can even set a keyboard short in Premiere for it like I've done.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
