Screen blacks out when I click on effects panel

Question

So I have recently updated premiere pro and I do think the lay out looks a lot better. I have had problems before with premiere pro crashing but I just save now. Now my real issue is that whenever I go from editing to the effects on the top panels, the screen blacks out every time. If I click on the audio panel or anything else everything seems to be working well, but when I only click on the effects panel, the screen blacks out but I can save and can go to file,view,edit,etc. But this keeps happening! What can I do I have restarted my computer already.

Next time it goes blank, try going to the menu Window > Workspaces > Reset To Saved Layout.

My experience was I had to do the Reset to Saved Layout a couple of times and then the blank screen issue went away and has not returned.

Thanks,Very Helpful...I have been editing on Premiere since Premiere 5.0 and just recently updated from CS4, and this has been a learning process Charles Banks
