Screen Capture Tool in Premiere?

Ok, so a quick search of the forum shows me that this has been asked and answered a few times in this forum. But I feel compelled to ask again. And here's why...

I was chatting online with an Adobe sales rep. I asked if there was anything in the CC comparable to Camtasia, that would allow me to do a video screen capture. He said that Captivate would work, but (1) I knew that that's not part of the Creative Cloud and (2) I've done video screen capture with Captivate and the quality is poor.

So I asked if Premiere had a similar feature. Now, from my previous experience with Premiere (a trial about 2 years ag) I knew that there wasn't a way to do video screen capture. But I thought I'd check and see. To my surprise, the sales agent tells me "yes," that Premiere does indeed have this feature.

I'm kind of skeptical because it wasn't in there previously. Obviously, features are added all of the time, but I also haven't seen anything on the site about this new feature.

So can anyone confirm: is there a screen capture feature in Premiere?

Thanks, Neil. That's what I thought.

And if I may vent for juuuuuuust a second (not at you, Neil)...

If I am chatting with a customer service rep for any company, I expect them to know the basic features of their services and products. At the very least they should know who to ask. Aaaargh.

As to the customer service help folks ... Adobe has a system they don't actually tell users about. (At least they're consistent  ... sigh ... )

They have a generalist staff that answers the phone so to speak. They also have some specialists IF you know to ask for them.

Next time you call in, ask for the Video Que. Until you're connected with them.
