Script Alert: Undefined is not an object error

Hey everyone,

So I just tried to apply a video transition on my clip and the pop-up error  Script Alert: Undefined is not an object appears. In another forum, I found a solution that worked for two people but I don't quite understand what I should do to fix it.

Their solution was:

"I recently resolved this at one of my customer’s sites. They had a storage volume named Library. Had to rename the volume and Premiere stopped throwing the error."

 AND ALSO

"I can report same issue; we’ve a shared drive called LIBRARY that makes Premiere error on a new document. Remove the Libraries panels from all workspaces, and update, then it works fine.

I can reproduce the issue using a USB stick on any Mac by naming it LIBRARY."

Can someone kindly walk me through what exactly I should do?

The presence of a volume named "LIBRARY" has nothing to do with whether or not the CC Libraries panel is displayed. However, having such a volume could interfere with the use of PPro extensions (which use ExtendScript, the source of the "undefined is not an object" error message), which are installed in the system's root /Library (not some user's ~/Library).

I would recommend renaming the "LIBRARY" shared drive, and see whether that resolves the issue.

Just to add a bit of info: "Libraries" is another volume label that will mess things up.

"Strange Error: DCLICK: TypeError: undefined is not an object"

This error occurs in the Aniom AtomX client running as an extension in PremierePro and After Effects when applying stuff to a timeline if one of your volumes is labelled "Libraries".
