Script Writing Basics

Hello Fellow Editors,

I'm wondering if I can pick the brain of anyone who has written a script for Adobe Premiere. I'm not a coder, but I've been experimenting.

I've done a lot of googling, and I think I'm at the point where talking to an actual human about the fundamentals will be incredibly helpful.

So far, I've installed Visual Studio Code and the Extend Script extension. I'm able to send an "alert" message to Premiere. I now need a little help getting over a hump where I believe there's a gap in my understanding.

Anyone out there who can answer a few questions?
