I'm having a problem where Premiere Pro 25.0 constanty crashing when I'm scrolling through my timeline of XAVC HS 4K clips. It works fine when playing, but whenever I start scrolling through a clip it suddenly crashes without showing an error or crash message. I checked my reports folder and there's nothing in there. I included a video to show exactly what happens.

My specs:

Intel 13900k

Geforce RTX 4090

128GB DDR4

I have the latest Nvidia studio driver installed and I don't have any plug-ins running. Any advice?

HI @hbhb26662791mq51 - What does the Triangle say when you click it next to default input?  Can you try disconnecting your airpods from your computer

Hi @hbhb26662791mq51 - What does the Triangle say when you click it next to default input?  Can you try changing your default input to "No Input" and your default output to "System Default" and your clock to "System Default"

you say "I have the video files without using Catalyst or any other software." Does that mean you do have sony software installed on your system or you do not. Can you confirm? I do not have Catalyst or any other Sony software installed

Do you have any blackmagic or AJA software installed? No

Can you share a screenshot of your audio hardware settings? Sure

Does this happen with version 25.1? Yes

Do you have hardware acceleration enabled or disabled? Enabled, but I tried both and it doesn't make a differnce

Hi @hbhb26662791mq51 - Can you go to the help menu bar and select "System Compatibility Report" then choose export and send those two files to jamiec@adobe.com

Just to confirm you do not have any catalyst software installed?

I have the video files without using Catalyst or any other software.

It's 25.0 file not an unpgraded project

Just followed your steps and made no differnece.

Like I told you earlier, I tried both 561.09 and 565.90 and it makes no differnce.

Hi @hbhb26662791mq51 - I'm sorry you are still experiencing crashes.

Do you have any third party Plug-ins installed?

Since you are working with XAVC footage do you have the sony catlayst or Catalyst Browse app installed?

Is this on brand new projects in version 25 or upgraded projects?

Can you try to hold down "SHIFT" while launching Premiere and check the boxes

"Reset Plugin Cache"

"Disable third-party plugins (one time only)"

"Clear media cache files"

Can you please update your Nvidia drivers as their is currently a security vulnerability with all Nvidia GPUs.

Thank you for your help in resolving this issue.

Is there anything being done about this bug, or should I switch software? After using 25.2 over the weekend I can barely notice any imporovement when it comes to crashing.

It seems like crshing has improved slightly in 25.2. But I wouldn't say it's been fixed.
