Sequence is nested if I "drag video only" with multicam since the 24.1 update

I apologize if I'm not using the correct names, my Premiere version is in italian.

Usually, if I'm editing with a multicam and I were to press F to bring up the source monitor, I'd get the option to "drag video only" or "drag audio only". By pressing V1/V2/V3 etc, I would be able to choose which video or audio track to drag from the original multicam sequence. (Example: if I quickly need to bring out a video that is on the 3rd track, I can highlight only the V3 button and by clicking on "drag video only" I can bring out only the video from that track.)

Since the 24.1 update, even if I try to do the same process, it doesn't work, and instead of separated video tracks I get the same multicam nested clip again, which I don't want since I want to be able to take out the individual, unnested clip.

This bug only happens if the sequence is set to multicam. If it's just a nested sequence, things work as they're supposed to work, but since I work mainly with multicams this is extremely frustratring because it slows down my workflow by a lot.

The "insert and overwrite sequences as nests or individual clips" is greyed out, meaning I should be able to get individual clips, but I get a nested sequence instead.

I'm stuck with the 24.0.3 version because it still works in this version, but I'm afraid I won't be able to upgrade to future versions if this doesn't get fixed.

Hi @Anna5DC5,

The issue you're experiencing is the result of some functionality changes we've implemented for multi-cam in Premiere Pro.  Starting with Premiere Pro 24.2, we have now also built in the ability to restore the original functionality you're looking for.
