sequence timeline blank

I was editing a video and all of a sudden my timeline dissappeared.  When I reopened it it shows 0:00 on the sequence. The video was 30 minutes long and almost finished.  If I open any autosaved versions the timeline and sequence still show up blank in every version.  Please help.
