Question

Shortcut for New Layer Rectangle not working

I recently discovered that the shortcut to and a rectangle on a new layer Ctrl+Alt+R is not working.

I tried Ctrl+T to create text on a new layer and that works.
I trie Ctrl+Alt+E to create an elipse and that works fine too.

Why is the rectangle one not working?
I checked the Keyboard Shortcuts under the edit menu and it shows that it is assigned.

Did I possibly do something by accident to create this issue or is this an Adobe wide problem.

Anyone with assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thnx

Guessing the tourbox is the culprit and not a bug with Premiere.

So I just tried it on my laptop as well, which is not connected to tourbox, and it doesn't work there either.

I have a specific clip in the timeline selected and again, ctrl+alt+e works fine.

Just can't get the rectangle to work.

I just tried it again with a clip selected this time, and it still works. Click the program monitor and try the shortcut. Don't select anything.

You might also search your KB shortcuts for "ctrl+alt+r" see if you have one assigned in addition.

I works from the Timeline, Properties and Program monitor panel. It doesn't work if you are in the Project panel. Click on one of them first.

Already tried resetting preferences. NO LUCK.

I did recently hook up a TourBox Elite.  Honestly don't know if that is the issue or not because I never used that shortcut before, but as I'm setting up the macros found it would be useful, if I could get it to work.

Try resetting preferences: works here on windows 11 / 25.1.
