Since Sierra High Update, Premier Pro not working

I can open the software, but the moment I import a clip, it freezes.

The little circling umbrella appears (Mac), and then nothing more. After about 30 seconds the force quit window shows the software as "not responsing".

I have tired dragging and dropping the clip, importing from within the UI, I have tried it with Premier CC 2017 and 2018. Same thing. Must be Sierra High update, as this issue only appeared after updating the iOS.

Any tips?

Over on the Windows side where I work, a Win10 update will "sometimes" cause a problem with an installed program

One solution that I've seen is to uninstall... clean... and reinstall

Sign out of your account... Uninstall... run the Cleaner...

-for non-Cloud programs you need to DE-activate before uninstalling

    -http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html (and uninstall)

-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling is often needed

-Restart your computer... Sign in to your account... Reinstall
