Sliding images for intro

Hello,

I've tried searching for this in the forums and through Google, but can't seem to find an answer. I hope you can help me with this, or at least get me started .

I'm creating a videoclip and have two images to use at the very beginning. The two images is actually one image sliced in the middle, which I want to have sliding in from each side and "becoming one image again" before fading to black a few seconds later.

I have both Premiere Pro and After Effects 2017, but am some kind of a novice in this.

Can anyone help? Feel free to let me know if you need further explanation of my problem.

Sincerely

Geir

Correct answer Peru Bob

I would edit the image in Photoshop and save it as two separate images and then keyframe the positions in Premiere Pro using the motion property.

If you don't have Photoshop, you could put the same image on two different tracks, one above the other, add the crop effect to each separately, and the keyframe the positions using the motion property.

I think Step 1 below is in order here.
