Slo-mo a single object in Premiere Pro

How can I slo-mo a single object in Premiere while the rest of the video is playing at normal speed? Ex. a clip of someone shooting a basketball, the basketball is in slo mo while the player is running at normal speed (and the rest of the video).
Would using AE be easier ?
