Slow Video Playback

Hello everyone. i have tried looking through numerous forum topics but cannot seem to find the answers i need. i am still a bit of a novice in premiere so maybe its that, but who knows..

Anyways; i have footage i shot with my Nikon 1 V2, several clips .MOV @ 1080i 60fps. when i import the files to my timeline they play at what seems to be half speed but in the same duration of time as the original footage, the audio is still playing at correct speed. this only happens in premiere and the files work fine on any other playback program on my PC.

Please help, this is quite frustrating..

I found a solution in converting the files to a constant fps through handbrake. yea apparently this has been an issue for a lot of people. thanks for the replies though guys!

Hi all, I am having this problem with a video that was filmed on a Google Pixel. It's never been a problem before but Premiere updated the GPU yesterday and now I'm suddenly having this issue with my videos being in slow mo, but the clip duration remaining the same. I've turned off the GPU in sequence settings, converted to a constant frame rate with Handbrake and it still hasn't fixed the issue. Any suggestions? I've had to speed my video up to 125x to get to even close to running properly and now of course it looks a bit jerky and janky. Luckily I don't have to contend with audio for this clip but even so it's really annoying!

I had this same thing happen to me in V13 on a mac running Catalina. The problem went away when I reset the NVRAM / PRAM.

This is a known issue with 12.1.1 and interlaced media.  For now, you will have to install an earlier version of PP.

This must be mov only because my interlaced mxf files dont show this issue.

Edit* to clarify a little more; the file description for each of my clips in my pc window says its fps is 59.94. but when its imported to premiere it is converted to 14.97. if i go to modify and set it to the correct frame rate it just cuts the clip down to a few seconds...
