Question

Smooth Footage with Slow Footage

Hey everyone

I'm wondering if anyone can help me, I recently shot some footage on a Sony A7 III and used a Ronin gimble to get some slow panning shots, now when i speed them up in Prem pro they seem shaky, I thought that it would be smooth mainly as the camera wasn't moving as it it was stationary. I've tried the normal thing about speeding up the footage but it's not working. Any help and advice? Thank you

Was the camera panning or not? Was the Ronin being supported on a stand or was it handheld? Small variations in framing if the Ronin was handheld will be acerbated if the footage is sped up.

When you say the footage appears shaky, do you mean shaky as the shot framing is changing erratically or shaky in the sense the frame rate is erratic, there are frames skipped, etc.?

Have you rendered the portion of the timeline where the speed of the clips was changed?

...and how much are you speeding them up?

How are you speeding up the footage in Premiere? Are you using Speed/Duration?
