smooth transition zoom

Hi guys,

When I do a smooth transition zoom between two clips (with the replicate and mirroring) the second clip always gets blurry as long as it is under the adjustment layer. Once the adjustment layer stops, the footage gets sharp again. Does anyone have an idea as to why that happens>
