So now EQ is gone, what about previous projects?

Is there a way to automatically open old projects featuring eq, and still keep eq settings?

I have it available, in the Obsolete folder.

Oops, indeed! And I've found out, that in fact, when opening old projects, eqs are still there, named EQ (obsolete). My bad.

The effect is still there, I would expect older projects to work just fine.

No, it's not. It's replaced by similar new "Parametric EQ" which is better in my opinion, but doesn't automatically replace EQ in old project.

I was just about to post about the now-obsolete "master eq" effect, which I've been using to scoop out the mids of music when I have a vocal track over that. I'm now supposed to use the Parametric Equalizer, however it seems like I now have less control than I did before. If I try to adjust the points on the graph or adjust the frequency/gain, I'm still unable to replicate the "scoop" of lowering all the mids (so the graph would be a very gradual U-shaped valley.

Edit: Okay, I answered my own question. Just found the "Mastering" effect under Effects --> Special.

In this case Q/width parameter works well for me.

The problem is when I open previous project. I will have to re-apply all equalization. And I don't want to keep to versions of Premiere Pro for this.

Yes, I've got to go through every single clip in a documentary and replace/check/adjust EQ on five hundred clips.  Jeez.
